Laurent Godin Gallery
The gallery opened in 2005 and since then, has organized and produced more than 40 solo shows.
The program focuses on emerging and more established international artists working with different media and participating to the discussion and evolution of the contemporary art debate with a particular attention with practices dealing with politics, social and cultural content.
The gallery also acts intensively in terms of production and circulation of works, diffusion and communication, edition of books, archives, etc. In only four years, the gallery has been playing a significant role on the French scene, and has collaborated to major international institutions such as MOMA (New York), Centre Pompidou (Paris), Kestner Gesellshaft (Hanover), Mori Art Museum (Tokyo), Museo Madre (Napoli), Tamayo Museum (Mexico).
In connection to the exhibitions, the gallery develops an editorial politics of artist books in collaboration with the French editor Onestar Press, and so far 15 books have been published. Most of the titles are distributed in the US by Distributed Art Publisher, NY.
