Célia Boulesteix
Born in 1996 in Limoges, Célia Boulesteix lives and works in Montreuil. Her artistic practice combines sculpture and image in installations that bring together a wide range of techniques and materials. Although her compositions appear solemn and melancholic, they reflect a desire to change our perception of reality and to explore its invisible narratives—whether historical, metaphysical, or intimate.
Using found objects, salvaged textures, and photographs, she creates a layered visual language where the history of an object echoes personal or collective memories. Focusing on what the city discards or carries, her approach is anti-monumental, reintegrating the fragile and the fleeting into our understanding of urban space and reality. Her sculptures and installations, rich in texture and symbolism, offer an ecology of perception, countering dominant narratives.
