L’invention de Malakoff — Gregory Buchert

Et si Malakoff n’était pas une ville mais un songe collectif, un mot abstrait et exotique à travers lequel chacun pourrait entrevoir la possibilité d’un Ailleurs ? Poussé par cette improbable intuition, Gregor Buchert, narrateur en quête de dépaysement, décide de quitter son Alsace natale pour entamer une longue errance dans Malakoff.

The maison des arts welcomes a program dedicated to the performing arts, turning the new guests into ephemeral interlopers of the space which is normally devoted to the fine arts. In parallel with the residences, the workshops and meetings are organised with the artists and guests, inside and outside the maison des arts.

Entitled “contact (s)”, the exhibition brings together six young artists whose works question the usual distance required for the perception and representation of things. Without recoiling, working as close as possible to the object they are observing, artists act in the same way to contact with the world and objects.

La galerie a confié à Stéphanie Cottin, le commissariat de l’exposition « Studio Meublé » qui rassemble quatre jeunes artistes. Tous habités par le cinéma, son histoire, avouent formellement leur fascination pour les productions américaines, pour le cinéma asiatique, certains avouent aussi un attachement particulier pour les séries et les reality show.
