Jeffrey Silverthorne Biographie

Né à Hawaï en 1946, Jeffrey Silverthorne vit et travaille à Providence, Rhode Island aux États-Unis. Parmi les expositions personnelles récentes de sa prestigieuse carrière internationale de photographe, on peut citer les rétrospectives de la Deichtorhallen de Hambourg en 2016, celles du FoMu d’Anvers 2015, ainsi que celles du Musée Nicéphore Niepce de Chalon-sur-Saône en 2014 et de la galerie VU’ aux Rencontres de la photographie d’Arles en 2008. Jeffrey Silverthorne a pris part à de nombreuses expositions collectives, notamment en France à la galerie Suzanne Tarasieve en 2015 et en 2008 à la Bibliothèque nationale et à la Maison d’art Bernard Anthonioz de Nogent-sur-Marne. Ses œuvres font partie, entre autres, des collections de la Bibliothèque nationale de France, du Museum of Modern Art de New York, du Los Angeles County Museum of Art, du Museum of Fine Arts de Houston, du Musée de l’Elysée de Lausanne et de l’International Museum of Photography at George Eastman House de Rochester. Jeffrey Silverthorne est membre de L’ahah depuis 2017.
