To really appreciate Salaudʼs works, we must therefore be prepared to abandon some of our hygienic rationality, to give up our over-cultured formal notions, to raise the barriers we have erected between “good” and “bad” taste. We must be ready to join the fight and let our judgements mutate.

Les drames qui ont secoué l’année 2011, ressentis par Alexandra Decraene comme le signe d’une accumulation d’excès boulimiques, l’ont renvoyée à sa propre vulnérabilité. Dans ce monde où une société clivante fait l’apologie de la réussite personnelle et de l’hypernarcissime, il lui a semblé nécessaire de défendre l’idée que la fragilité est notre part d’humanité la plus vraie.
