Thirty Ninth Show — Pablo Lobato — Coupure, latence

Before starting any reflection on Pablo Lobato’s work one can notice an urgent appeal to the touch through the images. The very sensual gesture of piercing fruits to only reach for their seeds in “Muda” calls for the sense of touch just like the beam of light that projects the film “1000 x 1” is almost tangible.

The New Worlds and the Old presents about twenty recent works — mainly art films. The exhibition is conceived as a series of chapters spread over a period of three months. It is part of Interior Empires, a season dedicated to a re-reading of colonial heritage in the present.

Ça & là (This & There) — Exposition à la Fondation d’entreprise Ricard et au-delà

I suggested the artists to choose a media on their own, so that space fully becomes an element of their work. The title of the exhibition focuses on the pair, object (or action) and place, as a pun on two common expressions, “This and that” and “Here and there”, the intention being at the same time to question and prompt connections with the environment.
