Rebecca Digne Biography

Rebecca Digne was born in 1982 in Marseille, currently lives and works in Paris.
She graduated from the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris with Jury honors in 2009. During two years (2010-2011) she was a resident at the Rijksakademie Van Beelden Kusten in Amsterdam then follow the residency program of the Palais de Tokyo: Le Pavillon, in Paris (2013-2014). Among her exhibitions: ”Dynasty” (2010) at the Musée d’Art moderne de la Ville de Paris and Palais de Tokyo, exhibition of 55th Salon d’art contemporain in Montrouge, ”Vesuvio” (2011) at Maison Descartes the French Institut in Amsterdam (solo), ”Tapis Volants” at the Villa Medici in Rome and Musée des Abattoirs in Toulouse (2012), ”Facing Mercurio” (2013) and ”Mains” (2012) at Jeanine Hofland Contemporary Art Gallery in Amsterdam (solo), ”AB Show” at the Nomas Foundation in Rome, ”100 years later” (2014) at The Palais de Tokyo in Paris, ”Climats Artificiels” (2015) at the Fondation EDF in Paris, ”Visio : Next Generation Moving Images”, at the Palazzo Strozzi in Florence, ”Au-delà de l’image (II)” Escougnou-Cetraro gallery in Paris (2015), ”Les pieds dans le plat”, La Forme in Le Havre, France (2016), ”La Ville au Corps”, Carreau du Temple in Paris (2016), ”L’Eternité par les astres”, Les Tanneries, Amilly, France (2017). Her first solo show at the Galerie Escougnou-Cetraro takes place in November 2017.
Her work is part of the collections of the Centre National D’art Moderne, Centre Georges Pompidou, Seven Gravity Collection and other private collections in Europe.
In 2016, Rebecca Digne was ”Coup de cœur” of LE BAL Prize for young creation with the ADAGP, she was the winner of the ”Talents contemporains” prize of the Foundation François Schneider, and she was nominated for the Salomon Foundation Residency Award.
