Born 1971 in Porto, Portugal, Rui Moreira studied at the Centro de Arte e Comunicaçao Visual in Lisbon, then at the Art Institute of Chicago. Since 1995, his work has been seen in one-person and group exhibitions in Portugal and Spain. In 2007, he was part of a group exhibition entitled Portugal Agora at the MUDAM (Luxembourg Museum of Modern Art).
