Trouvé Wilson — À propos — Slash Paris

Wilson Trouvé navigates freely within a formal language made up of the fortuitous encounter between minimalism and some of the codes from baroque tradition; an encounter that manages, however, to avoid any open conflict. The collision is indeed almost natural since the extravagant overflow of matter seem to glide upon the sober modernist grid as if gently caressing it. The artist’s works quite systematically toy with all the aspects of a particular media, its materiality, limits, surface, transparency and capacity to produce images by “accident”.
