Choosing a title for an exhibition is never straightforward. This is especially true for this one, whose three distinct sections require an overarching title that does not favor any single part. Voyez-vous ça! is an interjection with no purpose other than to emphasize the act of looking, and the surprise, even the irony, that may characterize the whole.

Each section occupies its own space and bears a more specific, if apparently coded, title: LCDB, SMS, ++. Two acronyms and a doubled addition sign. A nested exhibition? Not quite. Let’s say it unfolds in three chapters.

“This ‘performative’ dimension has, in fact, always been essential to my work. Rather than first-person performances, the ‘composite pieces,’ as I prefer to call them, juxtapose a multitude of references and complicities from yesterday and today: the joy of sharing my elective affinities, and a kind of collage as well.”
