The exhibition at the Maison des Arts de Malakoff highlights the methods and techniques of the artist’s work and presents a wealth of documents, such as preparatory drawings and sketches or documentary films and books. By way of illustration, the exhibition features four noteworthy themes from Ernest Pignon-Ernest’s output, being his works on the Commune, on Naples, and those, more recently, made in Palestine and South Africa.
