L’empreinte de la nature

In 6 days: June 6 → July 31, 2025

In this summer exhibition, nature is honored and displayed simultaneously in the gallery’s two spaces, located at 6 and 12 rue Jacques-Callot, in Saint-Germain-des-Prés.

A gogotte, born from the union of magic and time, dating back approximately 30 million years, sits alongside 21st-century creations. The exhibition creates a dialogue between natural beauty and that shaped by human hands—such as a stone carved between 15,000 and 10,000 years BCE in North Africa, or a mermaid carved in wood nearly a century ago—with a more conceptual beauty, conceived by contemporary artists.

Some works are the result of meticulous observations, and even samples from reality, while others give rise to sensitive interpretations. The techniques employed by the artists are varied—embroidery, bronze, casting, painting on silk or canvas, and carving directly on wood, among others—and each serves a unique creation.

An invitation to awaken our gaze, refine our sensitivity, and become, ourselves, more attentive to our surroundings.
