Join us to the Marian Goodman bookstore on Thursday, June 20 at 6:30 p.m. for the launch of the
second issue of the film magazine Les saisons, une part discrète du film.
Les saisons magazine is dedicated to the writings of filmmakers and artists and to all forms of
writing that inhabit the practice, imagination and destiny of the film. We will present the second
issue of the magazine, which includes unpublished writings or first French translations by Tacita
Dean, Deborah Stratman, Lav Diaz, Mauricio Freyre, Margaret Tait, João Maria Gusmão and Pedro
Paiva.

Anne Bertrand will be our guest. She will read Tacita Dean’s “Antigone” text, which she translated
for this second issue, and present her work on artists’ writings. Art historian and critic, author of a
thesis on Walker Evans’ writings and comments in 2018, she teaches at the Haute École des Arts
du Rhin in Strasbourg, where she directed, in the collection "Que dit l’artiste? " the edition of
Tacita Dean’s Selected Writings 1992-2011 (2011) and the anthology of Lewis Baltz’ Texts (2019).
