Les 20 ans des Moulins
Galleria Continua
In 17 days: May 31 → December 20, 2026
To mark this anniversary, the gallery brings together a large number of its artists as well as figures from the art and cultural world who share a singular connection with Les Moulins. Join us on 31 May 2026.
The gallery’s first space in France, located in Boissy-le-Châtel near Coulommiers, this monumental 30,000 m² site with a unique character has gradually evolved into an incubator for creation — giving rise to exceptional in situ productions and avant-garde projects, and ultimately to an pioneering and unprecedented art education programme.
Settling in the heart of the countryside in 2007, in a former paper mill, was a bold choice for a gallery — yet one that confirmed GALLERIA CONTINUA’s commitment to openness and to engaging with new audiences. From the very beginning, the space was conceived as a site of dialogue between contemporary art, industrial architecture and the surrounding territory. In 2010, the gallery took on a new challenge and expanded with the former Sainte-Marie paper mill, one kilometre from the Moulin de Boissy. Since then, two large warehouses at the heart of the former factory have been converted into 1,500 m² exhibition spaces, now hosting solo shows by international artists such as Kader Attia, Daniel Buren, Anish Kapoor, Sislej Xhafa…
A daily mediation programme is also offered at Les Moulins, with formats tailored to all audiences — children, school groups, families, curious minds — to enrich visits, encourage exchange and make contemporary art accessible to everyone.
Shuttle buses from the Jardin des Plantes in Paris will depart from 10:30am for an afternoon of celebration.
