Michel-Ange Rodin
Exhibition
Michel-Ange Rodin
In about 1 month: April 15 → July 20, 2026
Across a dialogue that spans the centuries, Michelangelo and Auguste Rodin meet in an exceptional confrontation. Two major figures of Western sculpture, two mythic artists whose works explore with striking intensity the power of the body and the depth of the soul.
The exhibition unfolds in five sections — Two Mythical Artists; Nature and Antiquity: Reinventing the Model; Non finito; Body and Soul; Energy and Life. Through marbles, bronzes, plasters, terracottas, casts, and a remarkable body of graphic work, the exhibition highlights the formal and conceptual questions that drive their respective practices.
At the heart of this confrontation lies a shared ambition: to bring the body’s inner energy to the surface, to make visible what animates it. The body becomes a sensitive surface, a vibrant envelope of the soul, living matter marked by time and by the creative gesture.
By revealing lineages, borrowings, and divergences, the exhibition also questions the legacy of these two geniuses. How did the reinterpretation of Antiquity and the exploration of the body pave the way for the ruptures of the twentieth century? More than a simple celebration, this encounter offers a renewed reading of sculpture—no longer merely as the art of form, but as a true laboratory of innovation.
