Performances Dessin — Drawing Lab — Performance — Slash Paris

The Centre Pompidou presents Performances Dessin (Performances Drawing) at the Drawing Lab (co-producer): a program of five performances conceived in dialogue with the exhibition Dessins sans limite, on view at the Grand Palais from December 16, 2025 to March 25, 2026.

This five-part program unfolds as a fluid, carefully orchestrated trajectory in which the status of drawing is continually questioned and shifted. Opening the series, Greek artist Georgia Sagri explores the body’s capacity for transformation.

In her practice, drawing precedes performance, functioning as a space in which gestures take shape and emotions are laid down. The program then brings together two artists for whom drawing is intimately intertwined with performance.

With Jimmy Robert, a tension emerges between gesture and trace, as a roll of paper serves simultaneously as constraint and surface of inscription. The final marks raise questions about what remains of the performance.

In the following event, British artist Juliette Blightman stages the space: suspended drawings, garment creations, a fashion show, and an original soundtrack combine to form a performative space-time. Drawing then expands into the spatial realm, spreading across the walls with Diogo Pimentao, who transforms paper and graphite into sculptural structures.

To conclude the program, artist Christine Herzer will maintain a continuous presence at the Drawing Lab, from opening until midnight, tirelessly weaving together writing and drawing.
