Poésie Plate-forme : Assortir
Jérôme Mauche reçoit Dominique Gilliot et Valérie Mréjen.
Past: Thursday, April 12, 2018 at 7 PM
Jérôme Mauche invites Dominique Gilliot and Valérie Mréjen.
This “Poésie plate-forme” session offers a meeting between the performer Dominique Gilliot and the artist and writer Valérie Mréjen. They will present a new work on this occasion, a collaboratively conceived performance in which selected words, objects and gestures elude the expected interactions; it is a way of linking two singular worlds, which delicately arouse emotion in the realm between fiction and interpretation.

*Dominique Gilliot *
Dominique Gilliot creates, with each of her performances and works, an ambulatory story which combines actions and words that are sometimes disjointed. She mixes play, surprise and joy. The mediums she uses are highly diverse and sometimes incongruous, giving rise to spaces and moments for rest and questioning.
She is regularly invited to perform in France and abroad, at Bétonsalon, La Ferme du Buisson, Parc Saint-Léger, Le Quartier, Les Subsistances, the Biennale Off Lyon, Fructôse in Dunkirk, as well as at the Kunsthalle Basel, Arsenic in Lausanne and Playground in Leuven. She has exhibited at L’Antenne du Plateau (FRAC Île-de-France), Mains d’Œuvres, 3 bis F, Galerie Chez Néon, and Les Instants Chavirés.
She regularly collaborates with others including Maeva Cunci (Gigogne, 2011; Sisyphe papier, 2012; La représentation de trop, 2014) and Antoine Pesle, and is a performer for Halory Goerger and for Clara Le Picard.
She created A Little Less Conversation, Stedelijk Museum, 2011; Piètre Solex, Fondation d’entreprise Ricard, 2011; L’Archipel des Grands-ducs, La Passerelle, 2012; Escapism, Cinnamon, Alternate Current and Other Facts Related to the Art of Magic, Machine Project, Los Angeles, 2013; Of Objects and Abstracts, and of All the Very Precise Little Dots Dancing in Between, Human Resources, Los Angeles, 2013. And more recently at the Centre Pompidou: Les Bois tendres (at the invitation of Valérie Mréjen), 2014; La station debout, 2015; Dix protocoles pour se désennuyer, 2015. For the 2018 edition of the Étrange cargo festival, she has just staged À propos de la Ménagerie de Verre.
