Romina De Novellis works on the concept of the human body in procession, a procession which takes place in public under the watchful eye of those passing by. The gesture is at the heart of her “tableaux vivants”. The artist looks to portray how a state of trance, alienation or madness might manifest through the human body, especially in precarious situations and at the edges of society.
