Société Réaliste — Thelema of Nations — Poggi Gallery — Exhibition — Slash Paris

Entitled Thelema of Nations, the exhibition gathers recent works by Société Réaliste making a connection between the literary utopia of Thelema described for the first time in François Rabelais’s Gargantua, and the geopolitical reality of the United Nations.

Société Réaliste is a cooperative created by Ferenc Gròf (HU, 1972) and Jean-Baptiste Naudy (FR, 1982) in 2004. Jeu de Paume (Paris), Ludwig Museum of Budapest and the National Museum of Contemporary Art of Bucharest has dedicated large exhibitions to their work in 2011/2012.

On the occasion of the Nouvelles Vagues season organised by Palais de Tokyo, Jérôme Poggi has invited Matteo Lucchetti to curate the first show of Société Réaliste at the gallery.
