Laurent Mareschal — Mouvantes
Past: February 23 → March 23, 2013
Mareschal reveals a kind of filmed diary, videos drawn from daily life for a proud poetry. Far from the symbols that steeped in his beginnings he goes to light and purified allegories. This coherent collection shows a lesser-known aspect of his work and gives rise to new directions.

Formes particulaires
Past: January 12 → February 16, 2013
Jérémie Delhome’s series of drawings that are presented at Marie Cini’s gallery is a work made from carbon paper which he used as a pigment by taking a sheet of paper for each successive layer within a stencil cut in tracing-paper sheets. This results in all kinds of imprints, sometimes superimposed, allowing him to play with density and value.

A géographie variable
Past: December 1 → 22, 2012

N’either N’or
Past: October 18 → November 29, 2012
Through the most radical and minimal of contemporary art practices, Elisabeth S. Clark’s work opens itself freely to interdisciplinarity — whether sculpture, installation, performance, gestures. Her work explores the topography of language, sound, time and thought and the definitions surrounding these landscapes.

Terrain fragile
Past: September 8 → October 20, 2012
The exhibition Terrain fragile “Fragile Grounds” presents the works of three major artists, illustrating different generations of the French-German scene. Here, each of them was eager to contrast their own universe to the others’ at the gallery Marie Cini, particularly taking into account its architectural space.

Laurent Mareschal — Bureau d’échange
Past: May 5 → June 16, 2012
Artist Laurent Mareschal often invites the public to participate, even to transform his work. Apparently in this project one can exchange just about anything, even beyond money for artwork.

Ji-Yeon Sung — Acte ordinaire
Past: March 10 → April 21, 2012
“Acte ordinaire” (“Ordinary act”), is grounded in an everyday undisguised reality to which Ji-Yeon adds a theatrical dimension. The viewer is confronted with carefully dramatized characters, heroes of everyday situations. However, the artistic process questions the strange within the mundane, and discomfort settles in fairly quickly…

Jérémie Delhome — Sans objet
Past: January 14 → February 25, 2012
“Sans Objet” is Jérémie Delhome’s first solo exhibition. Faced with his works, the viewer must be questioning. Sometimes silent, the paintings seem unwilling to yield hints or codes. Enigmatic, they seem set against deciphering, and appear both as an inventory of unexpected proposals, but also as a contribution to the abolition of existing genres.

Claudia Imbert — La famille incertaine
Past: October 20 → December 1, 2011
Marie Cini is pleased to present Claudia Imbert’s first solo exhibition, “The Uncertain family”. Claudia Imbert here explores the unconscious of the French family. It explores the flipside of happiness, which so often appears to be indisputable but is silently cracking before us.

Anne-Charlotte Depincé — Covers
Past: September 10 → October 15, 2011

Fly me to the Moon — Une proposition de Franck Ancel
Past: June 9 → July 16, 2011
Fifty years after man first orbited earth we now live in a global world. This year marks the centennial of theoretician Marshal McLuhan’s birth in 1911. Yet he would not know of this techno-scientific evolution without having questions in return. The recent fictional film MOON serves as a major influence for Franck Ancel’s proposal.

Camille Cloutier — L’Écho du silence
Past: May 7 → June 4, 2011
In recent years, the artist has refocused her work on drawings. Initial appearances can be deceptive; these drawings are not pages torn from a sketchbook or a set of illustrations. They bear witness to the artist’s totally autonomous, holistic syncretism, incorporating elements of the surreal.
