José Maria Sicilia Installation, painting... Sicilia was born in 1954 in Madrid and lives in both Mallorca, Spain and Paris. Like many young artists, he seeks to escape from the history of art, to do paintings in which formal preoccupations are no longer in control. He says all his paintings already existed before he started working on them.
