Après l’exposition « Time Capsule », en 2012 à la Maison des Arts, dans laquelle nous montrions des œuvres qui rassemblaient plusieurs temps dans une même image, nous nous sommes interrogés, en guise de deuxième volet d’un diptyque d’expositions, sur le fait que certains artistes activent plusieurs images dans une même image.

_La Vie matérielle_ originated in the desire to design a more physical, more literal and in a sense more abstract exhibition than what I had had the opportunity to produce lately : a project founded on almost elemental gestures, tending towards a degree zero, a limited and committed language. The exhibition is a kind of living mechanism.

Alexandre Singh — Assembly Instructions: The Pledge

An exceptional collaboration between the Palais de Tokyo and the Musée d’Art moderne de la Ville de Paris/ARC. Dynasty gathers over forty artists in nearly 5000 m2, and indicates the strong commitment of these two institutions to emergent talent as well as a new phase of collaboration between the building’s two wings.
