Farida Le Suavé & Jeremy Stigter — Chère chair
Past: May 23 → July 27, 2019
A source of passion, obsession, fascination, terror, flesh concern us. Farida Le Suavé’s volumes are ambiguous and dynamic : desiring or closed on themselves, fleeing… As for Jeremy Stigter’s photographies, they take some distance with flesh despite the lens being as close to the body as possible, almost showing it derisively.

Farida Le Suavé — O
Past: March 21 → May 16, 2015
Farida Le Suavé shapes, handles, builds and bakes her earthen works — sandstone in this case — as if she was extracting them from shapeless magma, in the tradition of a Medardo Rosso yet with a paradoxical result that is less demonstrative: an object with a finite surface, of an irresistible visual tactility.

Moveable Feast — Carte blanche à Erin Lawlor
Past: March 22 → April 3, 2012

Past: April 8 → May 21, 2011
“WANI” aims to highlight a type of artwork that poses a genuine analytical challenge — works that ostensibly do not mean anything, due to a voluntarist choice not to. More subtly, these works represent a real gamble: escaping any hijacking, whether theoretical, in the name of a given lineage.
