Among the works on display for the John M Armleder exhibition at Almine Rech Gallery Paris, alongside murals and “Furniture Sculptures” from 2018, is a new series of “Puddles Paintings”. A personal sonic geology — Une exposition de Philippe Decrauzat et Mathieu Copeland
Past: May 13 → July 26, 2015
“A Personal Sonic Geology” gathers together the films co-directed by Mathieu Copeland and Philippe Decrauzat since 2012. Stemming from a desire to film sound, capture places, and dive into the subject matter of the process of construction and destruction, these films are screened using a method of projection which incorporates the monochrome screen paintings on exhibition.

Seuls quelques fragments de nous toucheront quelques fragments d’autrui
Past: November 30, 2012 → January 19, 2013
Covering twenty years of artistic practice, the works featured in the exhibition are all related to collage, montage and fragmentation. The display is itself conceived as a collage in space by the juxtaposition of several mediums, the superimposition of works and the presence of works composed of mirrors, fragmenting the exhibition and the public.

Carte blanche à John M. Armleder — All of the Above
Past: October 18 → December 31, 2011
As a way of mapping the artist’s brain, desires, and influences, offering carte blanche to an artist provides the opportunity to approach the creative process and the forging of aesthetic links from a novel angle. All of the Above is the rerun in reverse of “None of the Above”, an idiomatic expression.

Already Made? — Exposition de groupe
Past: February 4 → March 24, 2011
In 1913, Marcel Duchamp came up with the artistic concept of ready-made, defining it as an “ordinary object elevated to the dignity of a work of art by the mere choice of an artist”. The original attitude consists of choosing a manufactured object and designating it as a work of art.
