The original exhibition presents decorations painted for the nurseries and primary schools of Paris from 1880 to 1935. The 80 original sketches, which are being exhibited for the first time at the Petit Palais, illustrate the role of these decorations in terms of the diffusion of a modern philosophy applied to pedagogy and the child’s environment.
