This Biennale’s objective is to showcase contemporary photographers working in the Arabic world. Several countries have been prominent for different reasons and have participated in the writing of history, yet our knowledge of the artists from these countries remains patchy.

This first Drawing Biennale unites 23 artists selected from current and recently graduated students of the Paris Beaux‐Arts school. Filling 4 floors of the Cité des Arts gallery, the exhibition presents a great diversity of fine-art approaches and features large scale and in situ works.

L’exposition est réalisée et pensée pour le site, en étroite collaboration avec les artistes, dont certains ont bénéficié d’une résidence à la Cité internationale des Arts par le biais de l’Atelier vaudois du 700e. Ainsi, ils conçoivent avec Pierre Keller un parcours spécifique dans ce lieu qui accueille les artistes du monde entier depuis 1965.
