Derek Sullivan — Cover to Cover
Past: June 13 → July 26, 2014
Between design and sculpture, Derek Sullivan’s work often takes the form of a double or of a decoy. He dextrously weaves together histories of modern architecture, design, and abstractions into new meanings, paying particular attention to the recurrence of motifs and forms.

Past: March 21 → May 10, 2014
For her first exhibition at Galerie Emmanuel Hervé, Camila Oliveira-Fairclough chose to gather three or four paintings clearly manifesting her reluctance to forge (or rather to capture) a style, and to stick to it (and thus possibly to become captive of it).

Charles-Henri Monvert & Sérgio Sister — A Cor Reunida
Past: May 4 → June 29, 2013
Charles-Henri Monvert and Sérgio Sister adhere to no other rule than that of painting. The tone is set. Each one in their own style attempts to give volume and substance to the act of painting, and more specifically to the actual canvas; matter is revealed, overlaps and becomes embodied.

Roxane Borujerdi — Aumma Aumma
Past: November 9 → December 21, 2012
Roxane Borujerdi explores the manner in which elementary shapes are disseminated in different environments. This interest leads her to use several mediums. Here, the video picks up an urban architectural element, only to flatten it out as in a painting.

Derek Sullivan — Wright, rite, write, right
Past: September 13 → October 21, 2012
According to Linkedin, Derek Sullivan is chairman of Atlantic DataSystems; he is about 40 years old and lives in Newfoundland and Labrador in Canada. In his dark suit that he likes to wear with a white shirt, because of a strict upbringing that convinced him to favor a certain form of conservatism, his gaze is sincere and his smile, self-confident.

Fernanda Gomes
Past: June 6 → July 5, 2012
Fernanda Gomes works a repertoire of forms related to the internalized process of time. She will produce a site-specific installation, where objects will stage the emptiness around them, giving corporeality to non-presence, as well as the vacuum gives to things their objecthood.

Past: March 16 → April 28, 2012
Sophie Nys worked around a photo of 1915 she bought in New York one day after workers from the Police Department evacuated persons and property from the privately owned public space of Zucotti Park or OWS on the 15th of November last year. Charles-Henri Monvert — Sous les soleils
Past: January 26 → March 10, 2012
The Galerie Emmanuel Hervé presents works in which yellow only is used and declined in all its vibrations, and whose effect of radiation—a sort of sparkling of the retina—is itself usually the result of earlier pictures. With a minimum of visible means, his almost ascetic oeuvre demonstrates that abstraction still has a lot to show us.

Jacques André, Derek Sullivan — During the night the exhibition continue: La servante
Past: December 15, 2011 → January 21, 2012

Past: October 10 → December 10, 2011
Movie kisses keep coming on a laptop desktop. Each newly opened window shows one of those archetypal sequences that sum up the Hollywood love story. From one extract to another, the continuous effect of the travelling emphasizes the intertwined bodies’ movement.
