Franz Marc / August Macke — L’aventure du Cavalier bleu

This exhibition presents two major figures of German Expressionism and the Der Blaue Reiter [The Blue Rider] movement, Franz Marc (1880-1916) and August Macke (1887-1914). The primary aim of the show “Who’s Afraid of Women Photographers?” presented jointly in the Musée de l’Orangerie and in the Musée d’Orsay, is to break free from the still widely shared idea according to which photography would be a business for males only.
