Past: September 18 → November 15, 2020
With reference to the famous themed cabaret, founded in Montmartre at the end of the 19th century, that deployed its parodic and funereal ambiance by making light of morbid situations with inflammatory irony, the Frac Île-de-France presents, at the Château de Rentilly, an exhibition created by students, which combines contemporary artists with masterpieces.

D
Past: September 20 → December 22, 2019
Whereas an exhibition is generally determined through the selection of works, this one is purely left to chance and all works from artists in the collection whose name begins with ‘D’ will be exhibited. With the objective to introduce works from the collection in their integrity, for what they are, without any preconceptions or bias.

Laurie Dall’Ava — De soufre et d’azote, Les Précipités #5
Past: March 11 → May 6, 2018
As a reaction against certain violent systems of separation imposed by our society, her installation evoking shamans, sorcerers and other healers of the soul should be understood as a zone of retreat and resistance. The installation’s elements are imbued with minimalism; they echo each other and move like notes of music constructing, in so doing, an otherworldly place that is difficult to define.

A welcome with Julien Prévieux’s sound based work followed by a tour of Adrien Missika’s personal exhibition. The artist’s work is fundamentally linked to his travels. His output, marked by a strong attraction to the “forgotten monuments” of modernism and natural phenomena, are as much a means of conveying a physiological relationship with the world.

Clément Rodzielski’s work reflects on the conditions that lead to the appearance of images, the shadow of their reproduction and the meanderings of their circulation. In his works, it’s often a question of measuring the distance between what’s facing us and the provenance of the images, their usage, mis-usage and their destinations.
