The frac île-de-france is holding an exhibition with works from its collection at the Château de Rentilly, where the selection of works is left purely to chance : a random draw, open to everyone via a plugin on the frac website, has taken place from May 25 to June 10, to choose a letter from the alphabet determining the artists to be exhibited.

Jérôme Poggi presents the second exhibition of Bertrand Lamarche. The show gathers a series of new works, including a group of photographs produced with the support of Le Fresnoy, and video-installations. Questioning sounds and its transcriptions, those works are in the continuity of previous works articulating architecture, phantasmagoria, and auto fiction.

Alain Declercq — Snooze — Cycle Architectures d’urgence

The exhibition “Architectures d’urgence” (Emergency Architectures) is an imagined proposal spread across three different venues, the Maréchalerie at Versailles, the Pavillon Vendôme at Clichy-la-Garenne and the Maison des Arts à Malakoff. At the Maréchalerie, artist Alain Decrelcq was invited to imagine a conceptualised project.

How High The Moon gathers a dozen artists whose works endeavor to represent space favoring conceptual over Euclidian perspective. Abstracted from focal vision and perspective, these works multiply our viewpoints and launch us to heights at which the horizon itself disappears, dissolving into the visual plane.

The exhibition is mainly made up of an installation. This new work constitutes an additional stage in the development of the artist’s fictitious cabaret. The obsessive voice of Kate Bush, that listeners could have heard on the Palais de Tokyo “repondeur”, sets a rhythm to the perpetual movement of an anamorphic mirror driven by a record turntable.

Ce protocole établit des règles à partir desquelles une exposition peut s’écrire dans le temps.
