The anticipation is the first part of the video-triptych Empire and was filmed in the caldera of Mt. Aso on the Japanese island of Kyushu.

The vulcano in the video is Mt. Komezuka, which means “mouth of rice” in Japanese. Legend has it that the mountain was formed when the God of Aso scooped up a handful of rice to feed his starving people. Mt. Komezuka has an altitude of 954 meter and is situated in the middle of Mt. Aso — the largest volcanic crater on earth. The Conditionning is the second part of the video-triptych Empire and was filmed in the north of Kyoto, Japan.
