Biennale Pact(e)
Festival, Art contemporain

Past: June 27 → 30, 2019

The Biennale Pact(e) is the first biennial contemporary art show about company-residencies for artists. It will provide a national overview of the initiatives carried out since 2008 in France, and reveals the creativity of works from artists residencies in companies.

During 4 days, the Biennale reflect the multimodal approach to accompanying artists, while promoting new views on the world of work.

We will present the works created during the PACT (e) program, finished or in the process of being created, and others ones from past and current initiatives (especially from Ateliers de l’EuroMéditerranée — Marseille-Provence 2013). Those makes the companies be as various sources of inspiration for artists.

This new way to produce works of art — including its economic, societal and artistic aspects — will be discussed during a program of round tables, on the inauguration day of the Biennale.

The hall of Le Carreau du Temple will be converted to a teeming agora mixing exhibition, round tables, concert, performances, video, and a sales point of silkscreen printings.

Finally, the Comité Richelieu and Frieh Associés, with le Carreau du Temple, will attribute a new contemporary art price awarding on of the artist from PACT (e) program.
