The artistic programme of La Galerie, centre d’art contemporain d’intérêt national de Noisy-le-Sec happens not only within its walls but also throughout the city: projects designed with artists to reach out to inhabitants. Each summer, during the Escales culturelles de Noisy-le-Sec, the art centre invites an artist to conceive a work that offers everyone, young and old, a unique and accessible experience that fosters encounters and sharing.

As a true conductor, Maxime Rossi (born in 1980, lives and works in Paris) opens up genres and brings together forms that at first glance would have nothing in common: burlesque and art history, brass band and opera, hamburger and philosophy…

For “Hair’mèches”, Maxime Rossi updates a project presented in 2020 for which an inflatable structure and performances are developed simultaneously as a stage, hair salon and meeting place. As part of the Escales culturelles de Noisy-le-Sec and the itinerant proposal of La Galerie, this multiform installation invites to a unique experience where the sight, hearing and touch of visitors are stimulated.
