In May of 1995, Macha Makeïeff and her group turned fashion show convention on its head with Vestiaire (et Défilé), a series of memorable catwalk sketches that tore into the shortcomings of consumer society. In September of 2008, with César/Tati, un parcours marseillais, she humorously staged the elements of a sculptor’s world with an interweave of references to Jacques Tati’s masterpieces.

She is back at the Fondation Cartier, surrounded by these legendary characters and even more stories for an offbeat, poetic, joyful performance.
