A series of drawings made with a cutter will complement the exhibition.

Since 2008, a team of five artists and art theorists — Markus Hanakam, Claudia Larcher, Liddy Scheffknecht, Roswitha Schuller and Armin B. Wagner — based in Vienna, Austria, have been creating exhibitions under the name of Plinque. Plinque sways between artist collective and artist-run space, without using a permanent exhibition space.

Working on the assumption that bodies, things, and places might, similar to the brain, have a memory that materializes in a discreet, interstitial, and non-linguistic manner, the exhibition Engrams challenges the question of a biography of organic and inorganic matter.
