MAMC+
The Musée d’art moderne et contemporain de Saint-Étienne Métropole (MAMC+), created in 1987, was the first regional museum of modern art. Its collection of almost 20,000 works is amongst the most important in France. It includes a majority of works from the 20th century, but also collections of design, ancient art and photographs. The luminous building hosts around 60,000 visitors each year, in an exhibition surface area of 3,500 m². Every year a dozen or so exhibitions invite the public to discover the collections, along with contemporary creations from international figures or young creators.
