Pour son exposition aux Tanneries intitulée Accord Final, la plasticienne Élodie Lesourd présente trois ensembles d’œuvres inédites à travers lesquels elle tire les fils de séries et de principes emblématiques de sa pratique. Développant au sein des œuvres exposées un poétique maillage de correspondances formelles, chromatiques, musicales et numérales depuis la Verrière jusqu’en Petite Galerie, Élodie Lesourd compose un parcours comme on tisse une toile.

The frac île-de-france is holding an exhibition with works from its collection at the Château de Rentilly, where the selection of works is left purely to chance : a random draw, open to everyone via a plugin on the frac website, has taken place from May 25 to June 10, to choose a letter from the alphabet determining the artists to be exhibited.

In total, over 130 works by over 60 artists of different generations employing several techniques will mark the course of the exhibition and enter in dialogue over the course of the year.

Robin McGinley pays homage to “33 1/3” (1969), a little-known work by John Cage. A dozen or so record decks occupy the space and hundreds of vinyl disks are made available to the public, giving them the chance to create their own musical ambiance by putting on whichever pieces they choose.

We must penetrate the skin, this authentic animal part, to reach the very essence and create a form of ritual in the most ghostly automatisms.

Mais le titre laisse entrevoir quelque chose de plus positif, comme une volonté de dépasser le mal (peut être par le mal lui-même finalement…).
