Christophe Lemaitre & Aurélien Mole — Ronde sable
Past: September 7 → 21, 2013
Ronde sable is not a dual exhibition but from individual works develops a web of relationships between images and objects. Whether it’s undoing the folding of one, or sanding the frame’s paint of another, the gestures and works realised by Aurélien Mole and Christophe Lemaitre prolong, correct and empirically confuse their sources.

Au détour de la mer de nuages
Past: March 16 → April 13, 2013
“Sidelong through a sea of clouds” brings together several artists around the theme of the representation of the landscape in its contemporary transcriptions. Faced with a changing and ever more disfigured world, the works presented explore the image, its manipulation and its movements. They have been exposed to risky techniques and to the vagaries of chance.

Je ne prendrai pas de calendrier cette année car j’ai été très mécontent de celui de l’année dernière — Alphonse Allais
Past: January 12 → February 23, 2013
To mark our entrance into the New Year, this exhibition sets out to perennialise the ephemeral and dated object, to return the hourglass, to leaf through the grid in reverse, to read and rediscover with a fresh eye those now timeless works, neither obsolete nor premonitory but works to indefinitely revisit.

Erik van der Weijde
Past: November 16 → December 21, 2012
The Florence Loewy gallery is presenting a collection of photographs and books from Erik van der Weijde’s diverse body of work. Van der Weijde carefully circumscribes the photographed object, but the non-emphatic nature of the object’s description suggests that we not linger too long on its presence.

Florian Bézu — Golden Age
Past: October 14 → November 10, 2012
Florian Bézu recreates here a decaying Golden Age, swinging back and forth between preciosity and makeshift insecurity and fills the space of the gallery with the different universes that nourish him and drive his creation. The epicenter : a construction built up from cardboard boxes and peopled with ceramic fragments of fiction.

Decollages — Volet 1 : Collage
Past: January 14 → February 9, 2012
Décollages — a series of exhibitions about collages … but without the collages ! The issue at stake in this project is not the techniques used as such, but much more the way in which artists today bring together miscellaneous references, borrowing pre-existing shapes and assembling them inside a same space.

Sara MacKillop
Past: March 12 → April 30, 2011
Sara MacKillop’s exhibition at the Florence Loewy bookshop wittily echoes the space’s function. At first sight, her work, shown in such a context — in the one-room gallery or side project next to the bookshop — formally gives the impression of a literal in situ project.

Katja Stuke et Oliver Sieber — O.i.F
Past: November 16 → December 18, 2010
Once the last shot has been canned and the wrap-up party has wound down, most film sets quickly degenerate into dilapidated backdrops. Katja Stuke and Oliver Sieber have captured the original locations of legendary Hollywood movies in a series of photographs. Some former sets are non-descript, others simmer with memories.
