Avec une vingtaine d’artistes, cette exposition chorale promet un regard ample et une tonalité aussi profonde qu’espiègle propre à l’esprit de la galerie.

En attendant la mise en place de sa nouvelle exposition consacrée au Nouveau Réalisme, la galerie GP & N Vallois propose dans son espace du 33 rue de Seine une exposition collective glissée dans l’interstice d’une temporalité dictée par les lois sanitaires qui témoigne de sa vivacité et de sa capacité, alors même qu’elle fêtait il y a peu, ses trente ans.

Pierre Seinturier — Centralia
Past: January 11 → February 16, 2019
Centralia is a town in Pennsylvania in the United States, abandoned after a fire in a strip mine took hold and has continued to burn, beneath the borough, for several decades. This devastated place serves as the departure point for Pierre Seinturier’s imagination to invite us into a fantasy setting which, like a visual oxymoron, is nothing but (a contrario) luxuriance and greenery.

Alain Bublex had the idea to present various mediums (videos, sculptures, paintings, drawings, etc.) with his own works all within a site-specific installation. Creating a distortion of the walls in the gallery; improving the maze feeling of the 33 rue de Seine gallery space.

One is French, the other American. This one lives in Paris, and that one in Los Angeles. While both are very fond of drawing, and are always prompt to cover entire pages from sketchbooks or whole sheets of paper, their work is to be seen in light of a polymorphic plastic production developing both in size and volume.
