ailleurs… ou plus loin
Past: June 17, 2020 → January 3, 2021
With the exhibition ailleurs… ou plus loin, the Frac Centre-Val de Loire pursues its exploration of the notion of wandering. This eternal quest for the self and others, for the real world and dreams leads to the same uncertain result, or even to an illusion, but always in the vicinity of a truth.

Lignes de vies — Une exposition de légendes
Past: March 30 → August 25, 2019
With “Lignes de vies — une exposition de légendes”, the MAC VAL is turning towards more intimate and personal territories. Indeed, the works assembled in the exhibition, take autobiography and biography as a visual raw material, generating a reflection on identities, from the presentation and the construction of the self.

S’il y a lieu je pars avec vous
Past: September 11 → October 26, 2014
Here five artists have taken to the road at the invitation of BAL in search of a story, often their own. The motorway, anonymous and yet so familiar, has become the domain for their creation, the playing field of the self. They travel in space and time, their wanderings lead them to lose themselves as well as find themselves.

Emporte-moi — Sweep me off my feet
Past: May 7 → September 19, 2010
“It might seem like a trivial subject at first but it has unsuspected depth. The emotions of being in love are infinitely complex,” say Frank Lamy and Nathalie de Blois, curators. The exhibition deliberately shuns irony, demonstrating how contemporary artists continue to re-work the textbook rhetoric of love through forceful reinterpretations.
