Critique
In ‘Mongkut’, a video and sculpture installation, Arin Rungjang deals with the still current questions concerning diplomatic relations and sovereignty, focusing on a little known event concerning Franco-Siamese relations in the middle of the 19th century, at the apogee of European colonialism.
