Bente Skjøttgaard — Aire de repos
Past: September 21 → November 2, 2013
Bente Skøttgaard’s new productions belong to a body of work that spans several years on clouds and traces. They are not only a very free and playful interpretation of phenomena of our environment, but also a pretext to question the notions of rupture and intervention.

Terres — Copenhagen Ceramics invites
Past: June 22 → September 14, 2013
Maria Lund gallery has echoed for nearly ten years a current which has now developed into sizeable proportions: ceramics is receiving renewed interest from contemporary artists. They have freed it from its functional and decorative aspects by considering it from a perspective firmly rooted in the fine arts.

Peter Martensen — Feelings
Past: May 4 → June 15, 2013
The world of Peter Martensen is never univocal. Dark and cold at first sight, the work of the artist is marked with sentiments, emotions, sensations — all the subtleties of the word feelings — that shift scenes of immediate gravity towards the absurd, the moving, the humorous and the critical.

Yoon Ji-Eun — Mirages
Past: March 16 → April 27, 2013
The temporal aspects and the ceaseless repetition are the basic elements of Yoon Ji-Eun’s work. Her choice of wood and stratified wood as her favoured medium is not innocuous, for the passage of time is inscribed there in the superimposed layers as well as in the veining of the surface.

Peter Neuchs, Turi Heisselberg Pedersen — Dans la forêt
Past: January 26 → March 9, 2013
It is a mutual fascination with each other’s work that led to the exhibition: Into the woods, which brings the visual artist Peter Neuchs and the sculptor Turi Heisselberg Pedersen together. Looking at their work, one can identify the points they have in common: an almost impenetrable depth, a powerful link to the primitive and a delicate but intense palette.

Chung Kwang-Hwa — Tiens ! J’ai retrouvé ma voiture
Past: October 25 → December 1, 2012
With his installations, Chung Kwang-Ha evokes the mysteries of memory processes and forgetfulness, the permanent and uncontrollable flows of life and memory…
Through a parallel work of photography the artist tries to capture the instant, so that the image itself generates a recollection.

Min Jung-Yeon — Mémoire de la serre
Past: September 8 → October 20, 2012
The accumulation of impressions is permanent in all beings. Hand in hand with the act of forgetting, only the essence remains, what is essential — a souvenir. Min transforms her experiences and emotions in order to go from the personal, the individual to the more universal.

Group Show — Archipel — Archipelago
Past: July 6 → September 1, 2012
Archipelago is a journey through Lyndi Sales’ arid lands and Maria Loizidou’s imaginary landscapes, a stopover in the contemplative field of Lee Jin-Woo and a wandering through Yoon Ji-Eun’s daily living microcosm. It is also an observation of Didier Boussarie’s domestic cacti and Helen Schmitz’ flowers as well as a dive into Catherine’s dreamlike universe.

Lee Jin Woo — Mur, Wall
Past: May 5 → June 23, 2012
Confronted with the wall erected in front of him Lee Jin Woo has chosen to grow grass. During the winter he has sown seeds on a huge taught canvas, on layers of Hanji paper and lawns grew in his workshop. He continued watering whilst taking on painting and constructing with charcoal on the surfaces: The cultivated nature and the artistic process have met.

Catherine Maria Chapel — Echappée
Past: March 24 → April 28, 2012
Close your eyes and take the dive; Cathering Maria Chapel’s Escape presents us with a dream in an awakened state or perhaps a voyage into the unconscious: her new drawings are a plastic exploration of substance and absence, through the line and abstraction. “Escape” allows us to meet an elsewhere, whilst also being a little more here.

Pipaluk Lake — Configurations
Past: February 2 → March 17, 2012
One day when she found herself in a field, the glass artist, Pipaluk Lake saw three parachutists appear. This vision of the inflated parachutes in an upwards move whilst the power of gravity simultaneously pulled the men downwards, fascinated the artist. Since then, her pursuit has been to give form to these movements and opposing notions of elevation, lightness, suppleness.

Lyndi Sales — Surveillance passive
Past: October 21 → December 3, 2011
Central to Lyndi Sales’s recent work is the “real-imaginary”. Possibly utopian, this project nevertheless carries the conviction that by seeking to surpass the limits of perception, new paths become accessible. Her work lies closer to a more complete, more whole vision where everything is connected, whereas we often only experience fragments of reality.

Didier Boussarie — Arrière saison
Past: September 3 → October 15, 2011
Boussarie’s tempera paintings and drawings alternate between strong strokes and hesitant, light strokes: bringing to life a leaf, a messy undergrowth or a proudly erected sunflower fratrie. The compositions stand out against an apparently void background…this is however composed of subtle work on colour that fills the space making it vibrate.

Yoo Hye-Sook — Anonymes
Past: March 12 → April 30, 2011
Desires…desire to draw, to create, unnamed desires, without destination…It’s an unidentified desire that leads Yoo Hye-Sook to work. Using minimal means (pencil, paper, canvas and space) to better “hear” her interior, she began by drawing small red beans — one bean a day…

Maibritt Ulvedal Bjelke — Twist & tease — peintures nouvelles
Past: January 22 → March 5, 2011
For the past twenty years, Maibritt Ulvedal Bjelke’s painting was essentially about process, colour, matter as well as the corporal and intellectual involvement of her person. Her work shows both rigorousness and great freedom, where the act of painting itself, the spreading of luminous matter, becomes respiration.

Helene Schmitz — Jardins engloutis — Carnivores
Past: October 22 → December 4, 2010
A whole section of Western art and literature attributes a “kind innocence” to nature. Thus, when it takes the shape of a garden, it is often a metaphor of Paradise Lost… In the series Hidden gardens and Carnivores, Helene Schmitz places the symbolic at the heart of her work.

Bente Skjøttgaard — Dans les nuages
Past: September 3 → October 16, 2010
Between earth and sky, or, more specifically between clouds and mud, for a while now, Bente Skjøttgaard has been working both above our heads and below our feet. In the clouds is her fourth exhibition in Paris. It is the fruit of an almost contradictory attempt to materialise in clay the light and ephemeral qualities of clouds.

Majken Schultz — Paysages cachés
Past: June 10 → August 28, 2010
Built with known elements brought together in an unusual manner Majken Schultz’s landscapes and fragments of nature represent parallel realities. Luminous and beautiful with a form of naivety yet never banal these works seduce us in the same way as the web of a spider where the attraction is such that we end up trapped…obliged to reflect.
