Hyper tactile and hyper sensual, Apichatpong Weerasethakul’s exhibition at the Centre Pompidou captivates and surprises, as it takes the plastic question of the filmmaker’s work very seriously.
Through a completely reimagined space of the Brancusi studio, highlighting his work with light and the visible, the director presents a proposal that continues a dialogue with the visual arts that began several years ago with a memorable exhibition at the Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris, which multiplied perspectives and created a resonating space for the image.

have their place, without compromising the requirement for attention and duration. A delightful journey then, reflecting the filmmaker’s pleasure in extending his reflection on the image and summoning past or future perspectives as many new angles to propel his art into a domain that will enchant fans of his work and, through its enthusiasm and total commitment to perception, captivate newcomers.
